A capo is a small device that you attach to the neck of the guitar which transposes what you play a few semi-tones higher or a few semitones lower, depending on where you put the capo. It is very useful for simplifying what you have to play and it is best exemplified in this case where you only have to know the C, G, D and Em Chord to be able to play the other song.
Wonderwall by OasisThe iconic song by Oasis sounds difficult but is actually deceptively simple to play. Only a few chords are used and then they are repeated throughout the whole song, just in different orders or sequences. It is a good song to try out once you have mastered the basic guitar chords like C, G and Em Chords and it is a great song for others to sing along to.
One thing that may be difficult to grasp however is the rhythm. Although the song timing is in the standard 4/4, the strumming is quite unique to the song and may pose a challenge to a beginner who is not experienced enough to strum to non-standard rhythms. If you have a problem in this regards, my advice to you is to listen to the song over and over again on your mp3 player until you are confident enough to play along with it.
Playing the guitar is not easy but you must have the confidence to step out and try new songs in order to improve. No song in the world is unconquerable; all you need is the knowledge of the chords, ability to strum it correctly and you can become a real guitar pro.
