Having a 10 year old son is incredibly demanding and I find it a struggle to keep up with the new trends and fads which my wonderful son keeps telling me about, or should I say asking for! Mum can I have a new electric guitar, Mum I want to start horse riding, Mum, Mum and so it goes on..... right?
We are quite a musical family and we try and encourage our children to get involved with school activities including music lessons. My son wanted to play the guitar which we were happy to support. We bought him a brand new fender ( which was not cheap! ) and bought him guitar lessons with a local instructor. Shortly after this fad had started, it diminished and he was no longer interested in guitar. Now whilst I understand kids go through phases I was a little reluctant to encourage or advocate the fact he was no longer interested after spending so much money.
So, I found this on the internet, on-line guitar lessons for kids and training package. I figured that lets give this one more shot before throwing in the towel. My son loved it!!! Its young its funky, provides on line training and allows him to be the rock star he wants to be without having to go and see the local instructor who just was not exciting my son.
This product is so worth it, its suitable for all styles of guitar playing ranging from acoustic guitar, electric guitar and music genres ranging from blues, classical, to rock and hard rock, we are all enjoying it as a family and my son plays beautifully. He has recently started a little band with a group of friends, and has asked Dad to convert the garage into a studio!! Think we will hold guns before investing that kind of money, but we are glad that he is enjoying his guitar now.... Money not wasted!
