Interesting old guitar. Not sure what it is, kind of a mystery. Has been refretted at some point but not finished. As well, fretboard looks newer. The cone is a Chinese cone I put in there to try it out, it sounds kind of like a banjo. The tailpiece I ordered from national resophonic in California. I haven’t had time to finish it, thus it is up for sale. I paid 425 for it a couple of years ago, bought the tailpiece for 25, …

Circa 1939 National Steel guitar, blues workhorse!
Collegian Model made by National for Sears in the late 30’s early 40’s. This is a good playing, structurally sound great sounding, if a little aesthetically challenged example. And priced accordingly! Action is ¼” at the twelve fret. There is room to lower the saddle if you want lower action. The guitar has two open seam sections that you can see in the photos. There are some heal wounds but it doesn’t appear to be a heel crack, …

Thank you for visiting my
auction. Today I have a very rare 1928 National Triolian resonator
guitar.
National only made wooden
versions of the Triolian for about one year before changing to metal.
It is completely original with no
modifications. Looks like someone
numbered some of the frets in
it’s 80 year life. Please revue all the pics. If you require more, I will be glad to send them or answer
any questions. There is no case, but I will pack it well. There is no case. This …

Very Nice 1931 National Style “O” all original!! Case fits perfect but seems to be from the 60’s era. Serial # S4218. Plays and sounds great!! Set up with action for playing regular or slide. Not to high, not to low. This one sounds fabulous and has been in my collection for many many years now. Hate to but I’m selling off a few things to buy a tractor. No dents but has regular wear from being played. Frets are in great shape and …
